Oil Painting: December: Peony Study Linen // 9" x 12"
The oil paintings in this collection were created to capture my first year of motherhood. In the extreme hustle and change that came, I aimed to set aside time to observe, sit, and study. I wanted to recommit to myself when everything outside of me told me my life was no longer my own. I wanted to paint again.
A hope to see what’s already there, that’s how this journey began. Find what’s beautiful and show it through color and brushstrokes. It was more than a white flower; there was yellow, pink, purple, blue, and even green in the creamy petals. These were internal musings that stirred each time I sat to paint.
This oil painting is on luxurious linen panel, ideal for loose brushwork that naturally blends softly into its companion colors. Including a Suite One Studio vase was a wink to the art my hands had already made, and was making once again.

Paintings are signed, titled, and dated on the reverse.
