A hand-built porcelain serving bowl, shaped and altered by hand into beautiful organic bowl forms.
As a result of this very handmade process each bowl is charmingly unique with clear indications of the artist's hand in the form of indentations, carving, and shaping marks all done to skillfully refine the form from its very humble beginning.
The interior surface is hand carved with gestural line work to create large peony blooms. Decorated with a signature watercolor effect in luxe high gloss, handmade glazes. This bowl is finished with metallic details made from genuine 22k gold.
The exterior of this bowl features a sophisticated pop of Wisteria purple. An unexpected element that makes this piece extra special!
The underside of the bowl remains unglazed and the white porcelain is sanded to a smooth finish. Each bowl is signed by the artist Lindsay Emery.
