Ultra Small Ultra Colorful: An update + collection
It's no secret, my work/life balance (ha!), flow, rhythm.. whatever you want to call it-- it's different now. To no one's surprise except my own, momming my little one has impacted my studio production-- and guys, it's wonderful.
I'm working in ultra small batches exploring new ideas, painting new ways on my pottery, and making new glazes. The result? A mini collection like this. Coming tomorrow, 1/26 at 2 PM EST.
I'm getting some really cool, multi-layered colors and painted effects making one-of-a-kind surfaces like this teaser photo of platters and trays! Can you imagine how unique these will look on a table? Truly art canvases for your food! (And speaking of canvas and art, I've been painting again! Inside scoop has it that you may be seeing some new art in the shop later this year…)
I'm also restocking our Navy and Gold Splatter Oval Trays aka Starry Night Trays tomorrow AND our only for Valentine's Day Rose Gold Heart Ring Dishes are returning too!
It means so much that I get to create art and support my family with my creativity. Life is shifting and changing all of the time, and yeah that's a bit scary sometimes… but it's also the greatest privilege to live on the edge of change as an artist-- always observing, reflecting, and bringing my experiences into my work through self expression.
Yeah, it's a bowl or a tray or whatever, but you're here because you GET IT. Every pot is MORE than what it IS.
YOU see and feel that it's also the capturing of an idea, a fleeting flash of inspiration and nostalgic, cheerful colors that will become part of your family traditions and happy memories with friends.
All these years later and we're still making mealtimes and life beautiful, together.
