We Set a Date! Next Vintage Pop-Up 10/25

Two vintage posts in a row may have you wondering, 'Why all this vintage talk on a handmade site?' Well, good question. Tableware of yesteryear is a major inspiration for my collection. The notion of fine china-- fine things of any kind really, is a bright spark behind my passion for creating. I think there are simple, well designed tableware objects in the world that delight our senses and add to our food experiences. Making Mealtimes Beautiful is more than collecting and using your Suite One Studio porcelain; it's a lifestyle, a mindset, a promise even to live in the moment and to bring beauty into the everyday.

I use a lot of vintage in my own home, in my styling on instagram and here on the site. I enjoy handling these old pieces, daydreaming about their previous lives, and living among items that excite me. I use a simple guide when shopping vintage (more about that here), and while I don't buy cracked or damaged pieces, bring on the well worn patina of use.

On October 25th at 7 PM EST I'm adding items from my own curated, vintage collection to the shop. The pieces available in this pop-up center around holiday entertaining, so you can expect serveware, warm honey hues, gem colored glassware, and an assortment of metals. (Looking for holiday inspiration? We have a pinterest board for that!)
