As Seen In: Donna Hay Magazine

I was so excited to learn today that my pieces have a two page spread in the latest issue of Donna Hay Magazine! A huge "thank you!" to the lovely Sukaina of Sips and Spoonfuls for recognizing my pieces in this spread and contacting me with the exciting news!

I'm a huge fan of Donna Hay's Australian magazine, which is known for its bright and airy food photography. I love that this issue, which focuses on winter dishes (it is after all winter right now down under!) captures the signature diffused brightness of this publication, balanced by dark, rich, winter friendly colors. These earthy jewel tones (which sounds like a contradiction, I know, but totally isn't, just look at that photo!) resonates with all I plan to capture in my own Fall and Winter lineup.

And yes, I'm working on my Fall 2013 - Winter 2014 collection now. Being a solid six months ahead design wise has been a goal of mine for the past two years, and I'm finally there. Eventually I'd love to be 12 months ahead, but hitting 6 months is a major achievement for my growing studio. I've ordered new colorants to begin experimenting with and am seriously pumped to have glossy, finished prototypes for the Fall in my hands over the upcoming weeks.

I hope you all love this photo as much as I do! The textures, colors... everything is so spot on for what's to come this Fall!
