2022 Recap

The fact that I wrote this post on 12/31/22 but didn’t hit publish until today perfectly sums up life right now. We have a brand new baby at home and life is upside down in nearly every imaginable way. We’re filled with love and joy, of course… but also a profound need for sleep.

As I look back on 2022 I want to personally thank you for all of your support. The past year was one I will never forget.

After 13 years of business this year brought some of the biggest changes:

In 2022 we worked on countless one of a kind collections that pushed us creatively in new ways.

Hand painted details made their way into my work more than ever before, adding pattern and elegant playfulness. These detailed works are a beautiful complement to the solid colored and splattered pieces our studio is known for.

Most of the year I was pregnant and faced new challenges and opportunities in the studio. I began throwing my pots standing up, and noticed that I enjoyed throwing more vertical pieces (like these vases) when working in this position.

As my belly got bigger many of the pieces got smaller, and our cute bud vases were a fan favorite this year! :)

I created and released a Gold Luster online class for potters to learn how to successfully add gold to on their own pottery. This mini class joins my other online pottery class, Ceramic Design School.

We started the month of December with the birth of our daughter and settled into a very different kind of December than we're used to. Normally this is our busiest month of the year in the studio, but this year we hit pause. It was necessary, peaceful, and a time for reflection that's carrying us into the New Year.

Thank you so much for your support last year! Kim and I can't wait to create new art for you to love and collect in 2023. I also have several online workshop ideas stirring around in my mind that I’m looking forward to bringing to life.

This year will be another one of big changes, I’m sure of it. I can feel the newness rising to the surface— which is a great way to feel as a new year begins.

xoxo Lindsay
